Québec’s National Holiday

This holiday originates from the tradition, prevalent in several countries, of celebrating the summer solstice by lighting bonfires and performing popular dances. Montreal Jazz Festival

If you enjoy free outdoor jazz, then this summer you’ll love the fact that the largest jazz festival in the world will be coming to Montreal. From June 29 to July 9, millions will attend more than 300 hundred jazz shows in downtown Montreal, featuring more than 3,000 musicians spread out over 10 days. Montreal International Fireworks Competition

Known as the L’International des Feux Loto-Québec, competing pyrotechnics teams will put forth their best firework displays, synchronized to music! While the competition will run from July 2 of 2016 and is completely free from your balcony or rooftop, you can pay to get up close to the action by swinging by La Ronde, a theme park that will hold all-day pyro festivities.
