Today, our nation’s healthcare system is facing significant challenges such as increasing costs, an aging population, and new technologies. To respond to those challenges, the five University Health Centers of Quebec – in collaboration with partners in the healthcare system and the Palais des Congrès de Montréal – have organized the first International Forum on Health (IFH), which will be held in Montreal from October 22-24, 2013.
“This unique information exchange forum will provide an opportunity for participants from various countries to meet future partners, enter into agreements and share knowledge as well as create new opportunities.” said Dr. Fabrice Brunet, the CHU Sainte-Justine’s executive director and president of the Conférence des CHU du Québec.
The forum is designed as an opportunity to promote the health sector and find new approaches to improve health care and services offered to the public. All those in attendance will meet and discuss with various healthcare and education specialists as well as business people. The IFH will allow healthcare stakeholders to ask questions and find solutions that will improve the health of the Quebec population and that of people throughout the world.
“Virtual communities will emerge so that information exchange may continue throughout the year and become a powerful international network of knowledge management. The intent of the IFH is to be a catalyst for partnerships and innovation, thereby driving the transformation of health organizations and systems around the world,” he added.
