When I’m talking with a customer, it’s not uncommon to hear them say something like: “How much will that cost?”
In my experience, customers are usually concerned about the price of a product or service, so I often find myself in the middle of a bidding war before I know it. It’s easy to get caught up in a pricing conversation, but what I try to remind my customers is that the important thing when choosing between similar services is not the price but the value of each.
It’s important to compare apples to apples. Although a competitor might be offering a better price, the quality and overall value of their service might not necessarily be the same.
For example, if you are car shopping, I am pretty sure that most people wouldn’t compare the price of a Nissan Versa with a Ferrari without factoring in the quality and experience of each vehicle. If you’re at a Ferrari dealership, you’re interested in purchasing not just another car but rather an experience.
